Some members of the former South Lebanon Army will become anti-terror guards on Israeli buses. An Israeli spokesman said that members of the now-defunct militia have training that will help them prevent attacks. Some 7,000 people — former soldiers with the Israel-allied SLA and their families – – left Lebanon in May 2000 after the Israeli withdrawal.
