Rabbi Jacob J. Sonderling called upon the Jewish youth of America to rise to its obligations as future leaders of American Jewry and to assume its share of responsibilities of the German catastrophe in an address before the Junior division of the Women’s Emergency Council which met at the home of Mrs. Jack Bergman.
The carnival and ball which the council is planning, with the assistance of the junior division, is to be held at the Astor this Sunday evening. Among the sponsors of the affair are Mrs. Bernard Deutsch, Mrs. Stephen S. Wise, Mrs. Albert Einstein, Mrs. George Z. Medalie, Mrs. Israel Goldstein, Mrs. A. J. Rongy, Mrs. Herman Bernstein, Mrs. Joseph Lamport, Mrs. J. J. Lesser and Mrs. Ida Danziger Stashower.
