Several hundred delegates were present Saturday night at the opening session of the twentieth annual convention of the Order Sons of Zion here.
Max Perlman, Nasi of the Order, delivered the presidential message.
“Zionism and Fraternity should be stressed. Without either, we should have serious misgivings about our future. Consolidation, concentration and centralization are of vital importance. Rather than spread our efforts, we should narrow them down, center our energies on a specific object and utilize our strength in a positive direction with the aim of helping Palestine and our members. Numerous avenues of endeavor in line with this thought are open to us. This Convention should designate and create the proper instrument for carrying out such idea. In the light of our past experience, I am certain that the Order will be benefited by such a course and it will afford the members an incentive for greater effort on behalf of the Order,” Mr. Perlman said.
