The government of the Union of South Africa has no intention of introducing legislation banning Jewish immigration, Minister of the Interior Charles F. Clarkson stated today in reply to demand by several anti-Semitic members of Parliament that such measures be adopted. The Minister stressed, however, that the government is determined to see that demobilized soldiers are employed before considering large-scale immigration.
