More than £25,000 were raised for the Keren Hayesod in Cape Town during the campaign conducted there under the leadership of Mr. Nahum Sokolow, chairman of the World Zionist Executive.
A luncheon in honor of Mr. Sokolow and Dr. M. Hindes, given by members of the South African parliament, was attended by Prime Minister General James B. Hertzog, General Smuts, former Prime Minister, Col. Cress-well, labor leader and Minister of Defense and Labor, Minister Grobler and Sir Earnest Oppenheimer, leading diamond mine owner, who promised support to the Keren Hayesod.
