Simon Kuper, chairman of the Zionist Federation of South Africa, left here last night for Canada and the United States to consult with Canadian and American Jewish leaders on expanding the role of South African Jewry on the world Jewish scene.
In Canada, Mr. Kuper will suggest that Canadian and South African Jewries work together on projects in Israel and establish channels of cooperation on other matters. In New York, Mr. Kuper will participate in a meeting of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany where he will ask an allocation for the South African Jewish Appeal from reparations funds due from Germany.
