Resolutions opposing the holding of any Zionist elections in South Africa which use the political platforms of Israel parties and urging also that the South African Zionist Federation, which at the present time is constituted on a party basis, should revert to a “best man” basis, were adopted at a specially-convened, closed conference of Non-Party Zionists.

A delegation elected by the conference has already met with the executive of the South African Zionist Federation and discussions have been initiated. The conference was called in view of the possibility that elections for the Federation may be held early next year. N. Kilschner, veteran South African Zionist leader, was elected chairman of the conference.
