Coordination of immigration laws was decided upon today by Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Chile. The five South American countries arranged to adopt uniform immigration regulations which will virtually bar entrance to the refugees from Germany and Axis occupied countries.
The compact revives a dormant convention barring immigrants not possessing passports signed and certified by the country of origin. In the case of the majority of Jewish refugees such documents are almost impossible to obtain.
