A suggestion that Russian stores carry matzoth that would be purchasable by Russian Jews getting gift vouchers from abroad was made here today by the Israeli agent for Intourist, the Soviet tourist agency.
The suggestion was made in connection with announcement that Israelis will soon be able to send gift vouchers from this country to relatives and friends in the Soviet Union. Such vouchers are redeemable at Soviet shops permitted to accept foreign currencies. Similar arrangements for gift vouchers are already in operation in the United States and in European countries.
