The Soviet Government has allocated 19,758,000 rubles from its 1937 budget for development of Biro-Bidjan, autonomous Jewish territory in the Soviet Far East, it was announced today.
The region is expected to produce more than 28,000,000 rubles worth of goods during the current year. Products of artisans alone are expected to have a total value of 17,500,000 rubles. Timber is expected to bring an income of 8,000,000 rubles, with industrial products estimated at 2,750,000 rubles.
