A. M. Keizer. Secretary of the Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations of Great Britain returned today from Soviet Russia, where he concluded an agreement with the Soviet authorities for aid in relief measures carried on in Russia by the Federation.
The Soviet government agreed to meet pound for pound the Federation’s contributions during the forthcoming year. The government grant will be placed at the disposal of the Federation representative, both the Federation’s and the government’s funds being distributed in the following proportion: 60 per cent for reconstructive relief; 40 per cent for the opening and upkeep of kitchens, food centers, medical institutions, homes for the aged and children’s institutions.
The Soviet authorities will also allow the Federation to bring into the Ukraine duty free the necessary tools, machinery and materials.
