The Soviet Government today announced the recall of its Ambassador from Israel. The announcement was coupled with a strong warning to Israel. The Israel Government was advised by the Moscow radio to “fully evaluate” the warning.
Simultaneously, the Soviet Government warned Britain and France that they may face the threat of attack “by some stronger power” if they refuse to end their battle against Egypt. At the same time, Reuter’s reported here that authoritative Israel sources said today that Soviet Army technicians attached to field units of the Egyptian Army have been found among war prisoners held by Israel.
