February 17 has been set as the date for a conference of world Jewish leadership in Brussels to plan moves in the struggle for Soviet Jewish aliya. Acting Jewish Agency Chairman Leon Dulzin announced the date at a meeting of the World Zionist Organization Executive here today. Dulzin and Director General Moshe Rivlin took part in a preparatory meeting for the conference in Paris last week. Dulzin said there would be a significant Jewish participation of sympathetic groups and individuals at the Brussels parley.
The parley is to be organized jointly by WZO, World Jewish Congress and B’nai B’rith, aided by the regional Soviet Jewry committees and also by WUJS–the international Jewish student body, Israel’s delegation will include a number of Soviet olim. The parley will convene a week before the Soviet Communist Party conference in Moscow.
