A house-to-house survey will be conducted by Jewish Communists in a number of Soviet cities to establish whether Jews observe Passover, it was announced here today in the Moscow Emes, a Communist daily.
This measure is a part of the anti-religious campaign which has been started among the Jewish population in connection with the approaching Passover next week.
“It would be a grave mistake to think that religion and nationalism have already been liquidated everywhere in the Soviet Union,” the paper writes. “There are still workers who are backward and who observe religion.”
