The Soviet press is continuing its determined campaign against the collection of funds abroad for Passover relief for Russian Jewry on the allegation that the holiday relief drive is merely a pretext to cover an anti-Soviet campaign among Jews throughout the world. Rabbis who support this drive, the press declares, merely prove the extent of Jewish opposition to Soviet Russia.
The press appeals to the workers throughout the world to refrain from supporting these “enemies” of the Soviet by contributing to the Passover funds.
At about this time every year, campaigns are launched in various countries for founds with which to supply Jews in Russia with matzoth, unleavened broad, for consumption during the Passover period.
