The anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish campaign in the Soviet press, which sharpened considerably during the June war between the Arab states and Israel, continues unabated. It was noted here today upon examination of the contents of leading Soviet newspapers received in London.
The most recent example of Israel-baiting and Jew-baiting in the Soviet press was noted here in a series of articles with a Cairo dateline being printed daily in Pravda, official organ of the USSR Communist Party. Summarizing the recent events in the Middle East, the Pravda writers not only distort the facts of the June war known to the world at large, but also engage in concentrated attacks on Israel and Jews in general.
