The tercentenary of the birth of Baruch Spinoza, the philosopher, will be celebrated today throughout the Soviet Union by scientific institutions and educational bodies, as well as throughout the world.
The Leningrad section of the All Russian Scientific Academy has arranged a special session tomorrow to mark the occasion.

A Spinoza celebration will be held at the University of Chicago Chapel on December 2nd, with the participation of Professor T. V. Smith of the University of Chicago, Professor E. L. Schaub of Northwestern University and Rabbi Solomon B. Freehof.
The Committee is also planning to collect rare Spinoza manuscripts, books, lithographs, statuary and other items of interest with the end in view of urging upon the authorities of the World Fair to set aside a corner in one of the appropriate buildings to be known as a Spinoza section.
