A three-man delegation of Russian World War II veterans began today a series of visits to sites in Israel commemorating Israel’s war dead and the victims of the Nazi holocaust. The three Russian war veterans, one of whom is a Hero of the Soviet Union, visited the Yad Vashem, the Israel center for documentation of the holocaust, the Ghetto Fighters kibbutz and Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, named for a resistance leader. The veterans arrived yesterday on invitation of Israel’s four resistance fighters groups.
