Reports were current and denied here that the Soviet government has decided to withdraw its state subvention to the Yiddish Theatre of Moscow, which is now touring Europe.
Because of this report, it was stated that the troupe has decided not to return to Moscow, but to seek to establish itself in Berlin.
Subsequently Mr. Granovsky, director of the troupe, denied the authenticity of a reported break with the Soviet Government. The troupe now plans to visit the United States, following which it will return to Russia.
