Negotiations are going on with Spanish civil and religious authorities for the return of two Jewish boys, Gerald and Robert Finaly who were spirited out of France to Spain by Catholic priests after a French court ruled that the war orphans must be turned over to an aunt living in Israel, it was reported here today.
The report added that the return of the children to France appears imminent More than a dozen persons, including a number of clergymen and two nuns, have been arrested in the aftermath to the children’s disappearance. After he was freed by one court a priest publicly admitted escorting the brothers across the Pyrenees.
