Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.) told a delegation from the Atlanta Jewish Federation that the United States needs a long-term solution that will remove Iraqi President Saddam Hussein from power. In separate meetings with the group of some 130 Jewish activists, both leaders said the use of force is inevitable.
