The leading newspapers here report enthusiastically the speech of Henri Torres, the famous French-Jewish lawyer. It is expected that as a result of Torres’ speech the system of trial by jury will again be established in Germany.
At Torres’ talk there were present the French ambassador, several ministers, leading members of parliament, and the leading jurists of Germany.
