Senate and House sponsors of bille calling for the prohibition of discrimination in employment today were urged by the National Community Relations Advisory Council to fight for speedy enactmont. The Council comprises six national Jewish organizations and twenty-three Jewish community councils throughout the nation. In telegrams addressed to the sponsors, Henry Epstein, chairman of the Council, said he noted “with special satisfaction that . . . the bill provides for the creation of a commission with authority to file charges, hold hearings, and issue cease and desist orders enforceable through the courts.”
