Eduard Spier of Holland, Dutch legal expert, and Paul Philippson, Belgian financier, arrived at Idlewild Airport today to participate in the International Mobilization Conference for the economic development of Israel which will be held in Miami Beach this week-end, The Conference, which is being sponsored by the State of Israel Bond Organization, will take place at the Hotel Fontainebleau on Saturday and Sunday.
Mr. Spier is chairman of the Israel Bond drive in the Netherlands, and Mr. Philippson is chairman of the Israel Bond Committee in Belgium.
The Conference will mark the official international launching of the 1955 campaign for State of Israel Development Bonds in 27 nations in North and South America and Western Europe.
Among others who will attend the two-day conference in Miami Beach will be Simon Feldman, chairman for Israel Bonds in Mexico; Harold J, Goldenberg, chairman for Europe of the Israel Bond Organization; Hyman Grover, chairman for Israel Bonds in Montreal, and Adolph H. Kates, chairman of the Israel Bond drive in Cuba.
Reports on the progress of Israel Bonds in the United States will be made by Samuel Rothberg, national chairman of the Israel Bond Organization; Julian B. Venezky, chairman of its executive committee, and Henry Montor, its chief executive officer. Reuven Shiloah, Israel Minister Plenipotentiary at Washington, will represent the State of Israel at the conference.
