Dr. Solomon Gaon, Haham of the Sephardic Congregations of the British Commonwealth, has been elected president of the Union of Sephardic Congregations in the United States and Canada. Dr. Gaon spends part of his time in this country, where he directs the Sephardic Studies Program of Yeshiva University.
