More than 100 representatives of Jewish DP camps in the American zone, assembled in the local Jewish community center, today addressed an appeal to the United Nations to adopt as soon as possible a solution of the Palestine problem which will allow the displaced Jews to immigrate there.
The appeal pointed out that the DP’s are facing their third winter in Germany and that the hope of settling in Palestine is all that is left to them. Speakers representing the Army, the Military Government, the Central Committee of Liberated Jews and the voluntary relief agencies also called for a prompt solution of the Palestine problem.
