Beth El Temple Congregation on Fort Pleasant Avenue will give a dinner in honor of its spiritual leader, Rabbi Samuel Price, Sunday night, January 28. The affair will mark the climax of the twentieth anniversary observance of Rabbi Price’s connection with the liberal synagogue of this city. All the rabbis will be special guests and all the local synagogues will be officially represented.
Rabbi Price came here from Newark, N. J., twenty years ago, and was the first English-speaking rabbi in northern New England outside of Boston. He is widely known as a scholar of high attainments, a member of the board of directors of the Community Chest, the Junior Achievement Foundation and the Springfield Leisure Time Council.
