Mayor A.J. Cervantes expressed the hope here today that “there will be an end to the restrictive practices which prevent Soviet Jews from the full enjoyment of their heritage.” He voiced concern over the plight of Soviet Jewry during a ceremony at which he was presented with a scroll on which was inscribed the Declaration of Rights for Soviet Jewry issued recently by the American Jewish Conference on Soviet Jewry.
