Numerous St. Louis residents were reported today to have received anti-Semitic material from Gerald L.X. Smith’s Christian Nationalist Crusade office in Los Angeles. The material is a two-sheet “newsletter” which alleges that many American notables have been active in recent years in the fight “to rid the world of Judaism.”
The St. Louis Anti-Defamation League office said that some of the persons here receiving the material were getting it as contributors to Smith’s activities and that the ADL had the names of such contributors. Other recipients, the ADL said “are innocent victims of happening to be on a random mailing list.”
