“News coverage of German newspapers is hopelessly inadequate with few exceptions. Hitler’s prejudice against Jews is due to control of the country by the National Socialist party, members of which owned most of the papers under Jewish editors who were leaders in public opinion in prewar Germany,” asserted Dr. Stanley High, lecturer and writer, in a lecture on “Newspapers and Their Relation to International Affairs” in Smith Wilkes Hall, Chautauqua, N. Y.
