An imposing group of stage and screen stars, including Eddie Cantor, Bill Robinson, Joe Laurie, Sam Jaffe, Marie Radamsky, members of the cast of “Men in White”, and others, will perform at the theatre benefit arranged by the American Committee for the Relief of Victimized German Children, the committee announced. The benefit will be held January 28, at the 44th Street Theatre. Heywood Broun will be the master of ceremonies and Fannie Hurst will deliver a brief address on the aims of the committee. Professor Albert Einstein is honorary president of the committee and Fannie Hurst is chairman of the American division.
The proceeds of the benefit will go to the homes which the committee has helped to establish for children of German refugees in Saarbruecken, Switzerland, Holland and France.
