The publication in serial form of interesting documents throwing light on the anti-Jewish persecutions during the Czaristic regime was started by the “Emes,” Moscow Yiddish Communist daily.
The documents are said to have been taken from the archives of the Committee of Jewish Deputies in the Russian Duma. The archives contained many important historical documents, describing the pogrom reign. It was believed at one time that the archives were secretly taken abroad during the revolution. The collection consists of 1,000 documents of 2,500 pages.
