Representatives of the State and City governments, as well as leaders of all important Jewish organizations today attended funeral services for Judge George Z. Medalie at Temple Emanu-El. Dr. Samuel H. Goldenson officiated. Interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Queens.
Governor Dewey occupied the front pew. Judge Medalie’s colleagues on the court of Appeals came from Albany for the services, which were attended by judges of virtually every bench in the State.
A cable of condolences on the occasion of the funeral of Judge Medalie, who has honorary vice-president of the American Jewish Committee, was received today by the Committee from Professor Selig Brodetsky, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
