The Visa Division of the State Department today notified the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society that it will accept applications for visas from Americans wishing to bring their relatives from Algeria and French Morocco to the United States.
These applications, the State Department emphasizes, will go through the usual channels, but no final action will be taken on them until it is possible to secure transportation for the refugee for whom the visa has been requested.
