State Department Continues Discussion with Iraqi Government on Status of Jews

Rep. Arthur G. Klein, of New York, was assured by deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ben. H. Brown Jr., that the State Department is continuing to observe the status of Jews in Iraq.

In a letter to Rep. Klein, Mr. Brown said: “The Department considers that this situation is a matter for continuing discussion with the Iraqi Government and you may be sure that the Department will take whatever action may be considered appropriate.”
