A State Department spokesman announced today that negotiations had been concluded in Amman for the shipment of U.S. arms to Jordan. Arrangements were made for early shipments despite the present tense situation along the Jordan-Israel cease-fire lines.
The spokesman said the negotiations completed today represented implementation of the Jordanian American arms agreement announced by the State Department on February 14. It is understood that the deal includes jet planes, tanks, artillery of various types and other arms.
