The State Department said today that former Nazi Major General Walter P. Schreiber, who commanded the department of medical science of Hitler’s supreme command, entered the United States in U.S. Air Force custody and that he was not cleared by the State Department for a visa.

The Defense Department is authorized to import foreign experts whom the Department considers desirable for defense purposes without clearing such people through normal channels.
