State Hospital to Build Chapel for Jewish, Protestant Worshipers

Plans for the construction of a $250,000 chapel for the use of both Protestant and Jewish worshipers at the Rockland State Hospital here were announced this weekend. There is a Roman Catholic chapel at the institution now, but there are no facilities for either Jewish or Protestant patients or visitors.

United States Senator Jacob K. Javits has accounted an honorary co chairmanship of the committee which is to raise fund’s for the new religious facility Another co-chairman is State Senator Joseph Zaretzki, minority leader in the New York State Senate.
