Paul W. Voorhies, attorney general of the State of Michigan, this afternoon informed the Michigan correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that in the event the Federal Court rules against his office on the Alien Registration Bill he will carry the fight further, to the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Voorhies states:
“It is our contention to continue the legal fight to the U. S. Supreme Court, if that be necessary, in order that there may be a final adjudication of the points raised in this particular litigation.”
The opponents of the measure, Attorneys Theodore Levin, Fred M. Butzel and Former Judge Patrick H. O’Brien were throughout known to have been determined to carry the fight to the highest court in the land. The Federal Judges who sat at the hearing were Arthur C. Denison of the U. S. District Court of Appeals and Ernest A. O’Brien and Charles C. Simons of the Detoit Federal District.
