The HIAS pier service, which greets incoming refugees from Europe and arranges the formalities connected with their debarkation, will extend its activities from New York to this city as a result of the fact that refugee steamers will now dock here because of the crowded facilities in New York, it was announced today by Isaac A. Asofsky, executive director of the HIAS.
