Steps to raise funds for rehabilitation of Palestine were undertaken at a protest meeting held last night at the Hebrew Institute. Mayor Francis P. Guilfoile, Congressman James P. Glynn, Judge Harry J. Beardsley of the Court of Common Pleas and rabbis of the city addressed the gathering. Charles Rosengarten presided.
Rabbi Moses Sheinkopf. Rabbi Harry Schwartz and Rabbi Isidore Bresslau were among the speakers.
A resolution demanding a just settlement of the Palestine affair and a guarantee that it is not repeated was adopted.
