The Stern Group intended to occupy the Jewish Agency headquarters in Jerusalem and was prepared to fight the Israeli Army, it was revealed today in documents submitted at the trial of Nathan Friedman-Yellin, Sternist chief, and Matatiahu Shmualevitz, his deputy.
The prosecution today completed its case before an Army court in Acre with evidence by police Inspector M. Marmelstein, who was closely questioned by Friedman-Yellin. The defense was scheduled to begin its presentation late today, with the Sternist head taking the witness stand first.
