Stiffer Penalties Loom for Illegal Entry to Palestine

A law providing more sever penalties for illegal immigrants into Palestine, for persons convicted of aiding and abetting illegal entry and for ships of certain tonnages bringing illegal immigrants to these shores will be promulgated next week by the Palestine Government, it was learned today.

The present law provides deportation and a maximum fine of $500 or prison sentence of six months for illegal immigrants. Second offenders are liable to a three-year prison term.
