Nathan Straus is leading in the poll which the city of New York is taking to determine who has achieved the most good for the city in the past twenty five years.
The poll is being conducted by City Chamberlain Philip Berolzheimer as part of the city’s Silver Jubilee.
Silk flags mounted on oak staffs, each with a silver plate bearing the name of the recipient, will be presented to the six winners at the closing day of the Jubilee by the Mayor.
