Street fights broke out in Australia between supporters and opponents of a controversial far-right politician. Pauline Hanson angrily confronted her critics by declaring, “You won’t get rid of me.” Shouting protesters called Hanson “racist scum” and “Nazi.” Hanson has sparked a bitter debate in Australia with her claims that the country is being overrun by Asians and that Aborigines receive privileged treatment. Polls show her One Nation Party is supported by about 14 percent of the population.
