Addressing a conference yesterday of Hitler youth district leaders of Franconia, Julius Streicher, declared that the main object of Nazi future activities is concerned with the Jewish racial problem.
“We must strive to enlighten youth with the full earnestness of the Jewish question,” he asserted.
Formerly race and religion were considered interchangeable terms, he said, and now for the first time a nation has arisen which realizes that the Jewish question must be treated as a race question.
“If we do not succeed in solving the Jewish question,” he declared, “then all our fighting and the dying of our brownshirts will be in vain.”
Later, addressing a meeting of the German labor front of Franconia, Streicher said:
“Always remember that the Jew is your sworn enemy.”
The campaign against Jew continued in full force throughout the country. In the town of Staufen, the mayor forbade Jews from entering the town. The same order was issued by several rural councils around Worms.
