A plea to American Jewry to rally to the support of religious institutional life has been issued here by David A. Brown, on the eve of the annual Union Tour in the interests of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Mr. Brown, chairman of the Union’s board of finance, is directing the tour which begins the first week-end in November.
“The Necessity for Religious Recovery” will be this year’s tour theme.
“It must be manifest to all who consider this question,” Mr. Brown said in explanation of the theme, “that no recovery will be of value that does not re-establish the work of the synagogues and the churches.”
