Today’s issue of the magazine Near East and India contains a Palestine supplement with a foreword by High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope pointing out the importance Palestine has now assumed among the territories for which Great Britain is responsible.

The High Commissioner also pointed out the remarkable developments in agriculture and industry in Palestine and the huge surplus of more than $10,000,000 in the treasury, which is the “envy of a depressed world.” The issue also contained messages from Lord Melchett, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, head of the Zionist group for the settlement of German Jewish refugees in Palestine, and Professor Selig Brodetsky of the London executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
