The strike at the Haifa plant of the Kaiser-Frazer automobile company ended today following the reaching of an agreement between the strikers and the management. Involved in the strike were 44 foremen and office workers, who returned to work immediately after the agreement was initialled.
The agreement today was reached through the mediation of the Ministry of Labor. The strike was called with the approval of the Histadrut, Israel’s federation of labor. Histadrut leaders claimed that the demands of the strikers were similar to those in effect in other industries in Israel.
