More than 250 fund-raisers and technical and clerical employees of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York returned to work today, ending a four-week strike that began on October 13, it was announced by Irving Mitchell Felt, president of the Federation.
The settlement was concluded over the weekend, and approved last night by the employees, who are members of the Community and Social Agency Employees Union, Local 1707, AFL-CIO. State and city mediators participated in the discussions. The contract, which will cover a three-year period, through June 30, 1968, includes wage increases and adjustments in fringe benefits.
